Who Gives More: Romney or Obama?

It's not even close: 15% to 1%.

If the Left wants to make issue about Romney's income/charity/tax rate, let 'em. The former governor paid 42% of his 2011 income in charity and taxes.

Sounds like Romney has been doling out his fair share.

Meanwhile, VP Bleeding Heart Biden gave a whopping $369 to charity.

Of course, this is only surprising if you haven't been paying attention. We've known that as a whole conservatives give vastly more in charity than liberals for some time now. And that's despite the fact that liberal as a whole have higher incomes.

That doesn't mean conservatives are better people, just more generous givers -- despite what the Left would have the body public believe.

Romney vs Obama is simply the latest example of that truth.

Wow... could you find a more biased article at FoxNews? So typical to not tell the whole truth. I linked an article on my blog that actually compares 2010 giving to 2010 giving. Your biased article compares Romney 2010 (13.8%) giving to Obama 2000 giving (13.6%). Gosh, if you can compare any year you want then of course its going to come out something ridiculous like 15:1!

I'm not defending Obama's pitiful giving in the past. Or comparing liberals to conservatives in their giving patterns. But for someone such as yourself who claims to "defend truth" you sure are selective in what truth you use. And ignorant people who don't bother to do further research may take what you or the Foxnews article says as truth and continue to be lead astray by the half truths.

You've numerous times commented on how I don't take sin seriously or I don't think Jesus is a "prophet" but that article represents the type of sins that I think God is very prophetic about.

Haha. This is the first time you've read the Fox Nation subdomain of the Fox News website, isn't it?

p.s. I don't think you're quite tracking the Three Offices of Jesus. Did you not study through those (and how they affect ones theology) during your masters program?

No, I didn't use CARM as my seminary textbook. You're really gungho about this 3 offices thing but thats only one interpretation of who Jesus was.

At any rate, I'm glad you so easily dismiss what I said. But you just keep on quoting half-truths as reality...

"For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths." 2 Tim 4

CARM is a good resource, but not where I turn for the vast majority of my studies. In fact, I'd say it's about 5% of the literature I source, at most.

2 Tim. 4 is a terrific verse to deal with modern views of the Bible. But it's interesting that you're attempting to use that to convict me on something. According to your own theology, it's not the specifics of the Bible that are relevant, but the overarching themes and stories. Isn't that correct?

Seems to me you're picking and choosing when the Bible speaks truth and when it doesn't.

Back up a chapter. 2 Tim. 3:16-17 states: All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

You don't agree, do you?

Be interesting to know what entities the donations for each of them were made to. My guess is Romney's went largely to his church, while Obama's went to ACORN type community organizations.

If you can stand to click over there, haha, HuffPo did a few articles on that last year...

- Obama Tax Returns: President And First Lady Pulled in $1,728,096 In 2010

- Obamas' Charity Donations In 2010: Which Organizations Did They Give To?

I'd like to see who he gave money to the other years. The 2010 list of recipients are those that got the donated Nobel Prize money - which he knew would be publicized. I'd like to see who he routinely contributes to - just out of the goodness of his heart (if there is such a thing).

As would I.
